About Us

"CREATIVITY" and "MANUALITY" are the essential features of the ceramic craftsman. Who is born in Deruta is inevitably abducted by the fascination of art ceramics boasting a secular tradition. We sisters Ivana and Lorella Binaglia gave birth to our company in 1981, after attending the art school of the place and after having had some practical experience for a few years at a renowned factory in the area.

Processing

The main stages of our work:

This is the clay, the raw material with which we make our products.

The skilled hands of the visor, accompanied by the lathe, will transform the "clay" matter into so many different objects.

Once molded and finished, the creations will be dried.

After their perfect drying, the artifacts will be placed in the ceramic oven and cooked at a temperature of about 1000 ° C.

The resulting product, called "Terracotta" or "Biscuit", is a hard and tough object.

The Terracotta is immersed in the enamel, which will be the basis for the decoration phase.

The colors used, blends of metal oxides diluted with water, lay over the object with soft brushes.

The finished decoration is covered by spraying above the crystalline. This operation will make the piece waterproof and bright colors.

Place objects in the oven again, depending on their heights, to proceed to the second cooking at 920 ° C. Enamel and colors will be fixed permanently.

With the opening of the oven we can finally admire the result of our work.
